SelenaGomez is TradeEdgegetting vulnerable about her decision to share that she's unable to carry children.

The Only Murders in the Building actress, 32, declared that her health struggles are "not shameful" and spoke to the power in being honest with the public about her reality.

"I truly believe that there is power in being vulnerable and telling people when you need help or when you want help," Selena said at a Women in Film dinner in Beverly Hills on Sept. 19, per footage shared from the event. "So yeah, I shared that I can’t carry a child. Yeah, I shared that I have bipolar. F–k off."

She added, "That’s what my life is. That’s who I am."

Selena, who was seated next to her 11-year-old sister Gracie Elliot Teefey at the event, passionately explained that the reason she's so open about her health journey is because she wants women to feel seen and to show that she doesn't have it all figured out.

“I really want to be an advocate for women, and that’s why I share; that’s why I like to be honest, because everybody’s going through something,” Selena said. “I don’t have it all put together. I am me, and that’s all I can be."

The Rare Beauty founder went on, "So do not ever let anyone tell you that you are not a good person, that you aren’t kind, that you won’t treat people with respect. Cause that is not lame, that is so cool of you guys."

"That is the fact,” Selena finished. “So, screw anyone who tells you you’re a victim. You’re a survivor in my book."

The "Who Says" singer first disclosed publicly that she's unable to carry her own children a little over a week prior in Vanity Fair's October issue.

"I haven’t ever said this ... but I unfortunately can’t carry my own children," Selena shared. "I have a lot of medical issues that would put my life and the baby’s in jeopardy."

She added that this "was something I had to grieve for a while."

The Only Murders star, who is dating Benny Blanco, explained that she's accepted her reality and is excited to become a mother one day.

"It’s not necessarily the way I envisioned it,” she said. “I thought it would happen the way it happens for everyone. I’m in a much better place with that. I find it a blessing that there are wonderful people willing to do surrogacy or adoption, which are both huge possibilities for me."

“It made me really thankful for the other outlets for people who are dying to be moms. I’m one of those people,” Selena continued. “I’m excited for what that journey will look like, but it’ll look a little different. At the end of the day, I don’t care. It’ll be mine. It’ll be my baby.”
